“European CNC-Network-Molding for Europe” is a Leonardo project in which 6 technical and/or vocational schools from 5 European countries gather together to work on molding technology (see partner for further details)

Moulding technology is one of the most important manufacturing methods used for mass production of plastic workpieces. With the help of CNC, precise workpieces - and moulds of course - can be produced by programming and controlling machine tools.

       

The aim of the project is to manufacture a key ring by using CAD/CAM, CNC and mould technology based on a distribution of labour. Each partner will take actively part in development and production steps according to local facilities. The involved trainees will learn all necessary theoretical and practical skills during a complete production process. And by the way, they will get a lot of authentic experiences by working hand in hand with other European trainees.

Furthermore, we would like to compare the educational training programs for tool makers including the designs of the final exams.

The project idea symbolizes the European spirit in various ways and exemplifies the value of European cooperation.
